Volunteer Information
Follow these steps to become a volunteer!
Our schools are extremely fortunate to have the support of our parent and community volunteers. While we are continually grateful for this support, we are also aware of the potential concerns that can arise when volunteers are working directly with students. To help ensure all volunteers are safe to be in our buildings and informed of the requirements of being a volunteer, three steps must be completed before they can start.
- Complete the online volunteer sign-up form and training (5 minutes)
- Complete an online background check
- Get board approved
While this is not an exhaustive list, here are some examples that do or do not require a background check:

Follow the steps below to become a volunteer. We recommend starting this process about 3-4 weeks prior to your first volunteer event.
1. Volunteer Sign Up Form and Training (5 minutes)
Use this link to access the volunteer sign-up form
and training video
Make sure to hit submit after answering all the required items to get on the pending volunteer list.
2. Complete an online background check
Click here to start your online background check.
It's quick and easy!
Please check the series of FAQ's on the right of this page for more.
3. Board approval
There is no action you need to take to get board approval. Once you complete the volunteer sign-up form and training, and we receive the results of your background check, our office will put your name on the agenda for the next board meeting. Once you are board-approved, we will let you know you are able to start volunteering.
School secretaries have access to the district volunteer list and will only allow volunteers who have completed all three steps to volunteer in the building.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many volunteers who have helped us inspire and guide our students to reach their maximum potential. Your continued support is appreciated, and we look forward to continuing to work with our community in maintaining a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for our students.
